I’ve been building for the web since 1999 and have worked professionally as a front-end and back-end developer, web designer and project manager. In recent years I’ve specialized in front-end development and WordPress, my true passions.
As a freelance developer I’m often responsible for projects from initial planning to deployment (full stack) and have built websites and web apps for creative agencies, social networks, online shops, web series, artist portfolios and more. I’ve had the opportunity to work with established clients such as Discovery Channel, YMCA, Thornberg & Forester, LexisNexis and Jellyvision, as well as a variety of startups and small businesses in the United States and Europe. In 2014, I joined the Chicago-based development shop Blueberry Ln. While working remotely as Lead Developer I was responsible for technical planning and developer coordination, front-end and WordPress development and back-end development with PHP and Symfony. Recently I’ve returned to my freelancing roots and am looking forward to going full-time again when the right remote gig comes along.
I have a BA in Interactive Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago and studied design and photography before the web got its hooks in me. I’ve been living and working remotely from Spain since 2004 and am fluent in English and Spanish. In my free time you’ll find me spending the day with my family or out hiking, climbing or mountain biking. I love the outdoors as much as I enjoy a good day of coding.
