LittleBigLab

Sometimes big websites come from small places.

I believe that a website should be easy on the eyes, simple to use and custom tailored to the needs of each of my clients. With these principals I founded the web design and development company LittleBigLab in 2001. I specialize in web design and front-end development, but also know my way around a database when back-end development is required. Taking a website from initial planning to launch is where I draw the most satisfaction from my work and for the most part LittleBigLab has been a one man operation. However, some projects demand more than one man can handle, so over the years I've assembled a network of experienced freelancers and trusted friends who assist me with illustration, design and development as the need arises. LittleBigLab was born in Chicago, but in 2004 I brought it with me when I moved to Spain. Many of my clients are still US based and the distance has proved no obstacle. In fact, it even provides a few advantages! Tight deadlines gain a little breathing room and LittleBigLab is now bilingual. ¡Se habla Español!

When you're small, you've got to stay flexible, and during the last decade LittleBigLab has worked with a wide variety of clients in the US and Europe. I've worked on social networks, e-commerce operations, multilingual sites for web agencies, artists portfolios, blogs, web TV shows and everything in between. But, no matter how big (or small) you are you have to keep your skills sharp and I continue to stay abreast of the most recent design trends and development techniques. Over the years I've learned how to work with a variety of programming languages (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, MySQL, Flash), integrate popular APIs (Facebook, Twitter, etc) and design for and customize a number of web applications like Wordpress, BuddyPress, Magento, OpenCart and X-Cart. "Always be learning" is my motto, but the web is a big place. If your project requires the use of an application or technology I'm not familiar with I'm always ready to dive in and get my hands dirty!
